Ms. Agathe M. Sagne is Co-Chair of Religions for Peace African Interfaith Youth Network and is a member of the Religions for Peace Youth Media Team.

Ms. Agathe M. Sagne serves as a Co-Chair of the African Interfaith Youth Network (AIYN) and supports the African Council of Religious Leaders (ACRL-RfP) through the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) as a campaigner working to promote the ratification of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) in the French-speaking countries in Africa, especially Senegal.

She harbors invaluable youth advocacy, engagement, and policy development experience having served as the African Regional Coordinator of the International Young Catholic Students (IYCS), a Movement that is present in 34 Countries in Africa. In this role, Ms. Sagne led and coordinated the planning and implementation of projects and campaigns on peacebuilding, environment, democracy, good governance, and humanitarian action promoting social cohesion and resilient communities. Ms. Sagne has also been an International Team Member of IYCS representing the organisation in UNESCO and the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth and has led advocacy efforts to amplify the voices of Young Catholic Students in international platforms and engagements such as the ECOSOC Youth Forum and the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisation.

Ms. Sagne holds two Masters Degrees; MA in Geography Studies from Cheikh Anta Diop University, and Masters in Project Monitoring and Evaluation from the Institute of Project Management (ESMP), both in Dakar, Senegal, and currently works as a Youth Engagement and Advocacy Officer at the IYCS International Secretariat. She is a member of the newly-created RfP-Youth Media Team after a successful fellowship training on Mobile Reporting by the DW Akademie in Bonn, Germany.
