Yusuke Saito graduated with a degree in Community welfare and Sports wellness from Rikkyo University in Tokyo, 2012. After graduation, he started to working for a Rissho Kosei-kai, a Lay Buddhist organization, with headquarters in Tokyo.
He entered Gakurin Seminary, a Lay Buddhist Training Institution affiliated with Rissho Kosei-kai, to study the Lotus Sutra and apply it to daily life for three years. He was then appointed to Rissho Kosei-kai International from December 2014 through November 2017. He led the South Asia Division Branches including Bangkok, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Cambodia and Singapore, especially Sri Lanka Dharma Center and the branch in Sakhalin, Russia. His responsibilities included holding educational programs for leaders and youth members about Rissho Kosei-kai’s teachings and Dharma dissemination to members and non-members.
He has worked with the Youth Network Group since December 2017. He has been in charge of the Youth Committee for Religions for Peace Japan and Federation of New Religious Organizations of Japan. He has been to Philippines and Italy for excursion programs in Interreligious Dialogue with the member of Bataan Christian Youth Civic Circle and the Focolare Movement.
