Mr. Abdiel F. Tanias was born in Timor Island, East of Nusa Tenggara Province, and is currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Theology and Philosophy from The Jakarta Theological Seminary.

Mr. Tanias was elected as a Presidium member of the National Council of Churches as Youth Representative and before that, he served as Chairperson of Youth Department on Communion of Churches of Indonesia. Through these positions, he was able to take part in numerous activities on Youth mobilisation and capacity building for common action and advocacy on diverse thematic areas including community development and youth participation in civic processes for social impact.

Having been a youth leader and thought-leader since 2011, Mr. Tanias has been equipped with invaluable Youth mobilisation, empowerment, and leadership competencies and skills.

Currently he serves as a Member of the Religions for Peace Youth Media Team, while also conducting research based on human development to help the local community in Sumba Island – East Nusa, Tenggara Province, Indonesia.
